How to Beta Test NetNewsWire

We very much appreciate everyone who runs test builds and provides bug reports and feedback!

Here’s how to get started:

Mac: Open Settings > Advanced. Choose Test builds instead of Release builds.

You will start getting beta builds whenever you do a Check for Updates and a beta is available. (You can always switch back to release builds whenever you want.)

iOS: Join the TestFlight progam.

Bug reports and feedback

You can use any or all of the options below — we don’t care which. We just want to hear from you, because it really helps make the app better.

• Post to the NetNewsWire forum in the Beta Testing category
• Report bugs on the NetNewsWire repo on GitHub in the issues tracker
• Send feedback and screenshots using TestFlight on iOS

But, again, don’t get hung up on which one. Do whatever.

And, when in doubt, say something — it might seem obvious, but you might be the only person who saw it!

Bonus points

Often we get bug reports that are missing two really, really important pieces of information — it’s really helpful when you include these:

• Feed URL
• Type of syncing account (On My Mac, iCloud, Feedbin, etc.)

Those two things often make a difference, even when you don’t realize it.

(But if you forget, don’t worry. We’ll ask for those things if needed.)
